Competition Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all competitions, prize draws and giveaways run by Crown Pavilions (each a “Competition”), unless stated otherwise within the relevant Competition announcement. By entering a Competition, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Promoter
These Competitions are promoted by Crown Pavilions Ltd, whose registered office is at Unit 6b, Lys Mill, Watlington, Oxfordshire OX49 5EQ (“Crown Pavilions”, “we”, “us”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry, unless otherwise stated.
2.2 The following are not eligible to enter: employees of Crown Pavilions and their immediate families, and any other person professionally connected with the Competition or its administration.
3. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase is necessary to enter, and entry is free.
4. How to Enter
4.1 The entry requirements, opening date, closing date and prize details for each Competition will be specified within the individual Competition announcement.
4.2 Entries received after the stated closing date will not be accepted.
4.3 Crown Pavilions accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, illegible, corrupted or not received, however caused.
4.4 Where a Competition is entered via a social media platform, participants must also comply with that platform’s own terms of use.
5. Number of Entries
Only one entry is permitted per person, unless otherwise stated in the Competition announcement.
6. Selection of Winners
6.1 Winners will be selected either at random or by a judging panel, as specified in the Competition announcement.
6.2 Where a Competition is judged, the judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Notification of Winners
7.1 Winners will be notified using the contact method through which they entered the Competition.
7.2 If a winner cannot be contacted, or does not respond within 14 days of the date of notification, Crown Pavilions reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
8. Announcement of Winners
The winner’s first name and county of residence may be published on Crown Pavilions’ website and social media channels, and details of the winner are available on request by writing to the registered office above. By entering, participants consent to this.
9. Prizes
9.1 Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered, unless otherwise stated.
9.2 Crown Pavilions reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances make this necessary.
9.3 The winner is responsible for any tax, costs or expenses associated with claiming or using a prize, unless otherwise stated.
10. Submitted Content – Ownership
By entering a Competition, participants confirm that any content they submit, including photographs, is their own original work and that they have obtained the consent of any individuals featured within it.
11. Submitted Content – Licence
11.1 By entering a Competition, participants grant Crown Pavilions a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish the content they submit, including photographs, across its website, social media channels, email marketing, advertising, brochures and public relations activities.
11.2 This licence continues after the Competition has ended. Crown Pavilions is under no obligation to use any submitted content.
12. Disqualification
Crown Pavilions reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaches these Terms, is fraudulent, or that Crown Pavilions reasonably considers to be offensive, inappropriate, or not in keeping with the spirit of the Competition.
13. Amendment, Suspension or Cancellation
Crown Pavilions reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel a Competition, or to amend these Terms, where necessary as a result of circumstances outside its reasonable control.
14. Liability
14.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crown Pavilions accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in a Competition or from acceptance or use of a prize.
14.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Crown Pavilions’ liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
15. Data Protection
Personal information collected in connection with a Competition will be processed in accordance with the Crown Pavilions Privacy Policy.
16. Social Media Platforms
Competitions run on social media are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, X, LinkedIn or any other social media platform, unless otherwise stated. Participants release these platforms from any and all liability in connection with the Competition.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Acceptance
By entering a Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms.
