Choose a gazebo by the number of people you want to seat. A small Crown gazebo seats 2-8, a medium one 7-10, and a large one 10-16. Our footprints run from 2.2m up to 8.1m x 5.8m, with RRP from £13,300. Allow extra space around the outside for access and planting.

Which size for how many people?
- Two to four people, a quiet corner or a couple's seat: Rose or Chelsea. Both fit a small garden without dominating it.
- Six to eight, family dining: Tudor or Elizabeth. A table for the family with room at the edge for a sofa bench.
- Eight to ten, regular entertaining: Guinevere, Wolsey, Edward, Wentworth or Ascot. Ascot is a wider rectangle, which suits a long garden.
- Ten to twelve: Eden or Windsor. Dining for a full table, plus a lounge corner.
- Twelve or more, for large gatherings: Orangery, Hampton or Versailles.
Seat numbers are for sitting at the table. If you want a lounge area, a bar or a hot tub inside the building, choose the next size up.
How much space do you need in the garden?
- Measure the footprint, then add a clear zone. Leave room around the outside for walking, maintenance and planting. Ask us for the overall footprint including roof overhang for your model.
- Think about the view from the house. A taller or wider building will dominate a small lawn, so stand where it will sit and mark the corners out with canes.
- Check the ground. The base must be level and stable. See foundations and ground screws.
- Check planning. Height and position affect whether you need permission. See our planning permission guide and check with your council.
- Plan the furniture. Every Crown gazebo comes with built-in dining and sofa benches, tables and cushions, so the seating numbers above already allow for them.
Round, square or rectangular?
Compact models suit a corner or a path end. The square Wentworth (3.6m x 3.6m) sits well at the centre of a lawn. Rectangular models such as the Ascot, Eden, Windsor and Hampton fit a long terrace or a patio edge and give a long dining table.

Photographs make gazebos look smaller than they are. At a show site you can stand inside the actual buildings and judge the space. Our show sites are open to visit.
